“We booked the cooking class with Maria Antonietta. It was a very interesting, funny and tasty day! We buyed fresh ingredients at the local market and then went to Maria’s apartment. We made our own pasta and a lot of very delicious things. We would absolutely recommend this cooking class to food lovers and all the other people!”

“Recentemente sono stato a Palermo con un gruppo di amici.
Avevamo voglia di sperimentare il cibo locale ma come spesso accade non sai mai da dove cominciare.
Abbiamo contattato Cristiana di Palermo Street Food che con tanta gentilezza ci ha organizzato un tour mattutino tra i banchi del mercato e nei luoghi più cult di Palermo.
Diversamente da altre compagnie, non ci hanno chiesto un pagamento anticipato ma solo una piccolissima quota per riservare il tour.
Di sti tempi fidarsi è bene ma non fidarsi è meglio.
È stato così divertente, una vera avventura. Abbiamo scelto questo tour perché almeno il cibo non era incluso e potevamo scegliere noi cosa assaggiare.
Mia moglie e altri due amici sono vegetariani quindi non ho dovuto sorbirmi le loro lamentele visto che sono stato io ad insistere per il tour.
Inoltre, abbiamo diviso tutto tra amici e alla fine abbiamo pagato qualcosa come 4 euro a persona per assaggiare 9 diverse pietanze, alcune delle quali molto avventurose come la “frittola” - spero si scriva così - e la milza.
Consiglio tantissimo lo street food tour almeno se come me avete il piglio dell’avventura e siete curiosi di sperimentare cibi inusuali.
Tutti siamo rimasti contenti anche quella scettica di mia moglie :)”

“Food and wine tasting.
We did two sessions with the Palermo Street food crew. One with Giorgio trying out street food and the other with Francesca, an experienced sommelier who gave us a guide to Sicilian wines in a Capo Enoteca.
Wandering through the street markets of Palermo with someone who knows them well was much more informative than the DIY approach. Both Giorgio and Francesca really know their stuff, have very good English and found experiences for us that would suit our tastes (my wife is vegetarian but there was plenty for her to try too). I normally eat very little meat but simply had to try some of the weirder met dishes and was rewarded for doing so. Highly recommended.”

“Es geht nicht nur um Street Food - ihr lernt Palermo auch von den weniger touristischen Seiten kennen (Mercato del Capo, la vucciria..). Das ganze mit einem super sympathischen Guide (Giorgio) der euch auch die Geschichte Palermos und die damaligen wie heutigen Lebensgewohnheiten näher bringt.
Klasse Erläuterungen zu den Street Foods und deren Entstehung und Herkunft! Zum Schluß gibt’s ne grüne Limo für den Magen.

“The Palermo Street Food night tour was amazing - probably the best tour I’ve done anywhere. Giorgio is an excellent guide - extremely knowledgeable about the history of Palermo and the history of its food. Palermo has one of the best street food scenes in the world, and under Giorgio’s guidance, we got to try the best of it (including things that I definitely wouldn’t have tried on my own!). This tour puts you in the middle of the energy of the city, as you mingle outside among the locals, eat great food and drink great wine, and hear about how it all got to be. Da “forestiero” non avrei mai potuto apprezzare tutte le specialità e i tesori culinari celati dal centro di Palermo.
